Fitness philosophy: Whatever form of fitness you choose it should be enjoyable and make you feel good in body and mind. It should allow you to remain fit, strong, and flexible to enjoy life to the fullest, whatever your age.

Gale Scott, LMT - Profile

   
Education: Graduate of East West College, Portland, Oregon, 1992
   
Certifications: Deep Tissue for Extremities; Compassionate Touch for the Elderly and Ill; Side Lying Massage; Prenatal Massage; Facilitated Stretching; Spa Massage; and Infectious Disease Awareness.
   
Specialties: I narrowed my area of focus to Geriatric Massage in 1994. I have been part of the Waterford Health & Fitness Club team since February 2005.
   
Personal interests: Being the best mom I can be to my three children. I also enjoy running, knitting, drawing, reading, and cooking.
   
Personal quote: A favorite of mine is by John Wooden, former UCLA basketball coach: “Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.”
   
Fitness philosophy: Becoming physically fit and staying fit takes consistent work, but be sure to inject as much fun and variety into your exercise as you can to keep you going. Set attainable goals (keeping in mind your age and any true physical limitations), participate in classes, and maybe even find a workout partner. If you are enjoying yourself along the way, you will be more inclined to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. It’s never too late to start and, again, have some fun!

Sheri Bottelberghe, Swim Instructor - Profile

   
Education: Bachelor of Arts, Communications (Minor in Psychology).
   
Certifications: Oregon Swimming, Inc. Swim Coach; American Swimming Coaches Association, Level 2; Coaches Safety Training; CPR/First Aid
   
Specialties: Teaching all individuals and abilities, from beginning swimming skills to advanced stroke techniques.
   
Personal interests: Running, coaching, competitive swimming, raising honey bees and spending time with my family.
